BioI pursue a form that my stylus cannot find,
a bud of thought that seeks to be a rose;
it is announced by a kiss imprinted on my lips
during the impossible embrace of the Venus de Milo.
Green palm leaves adorn the white peristyle;
the stars have predicted to me a vision of the Goddess;
and in my soul light reposes as the bird
of the moon reposes on a traquil lake.
And I find nothing but the fleeing word,
the initiatory melody that flows from the flute,
and the boat of dreams that sails through space;
and below the window of my Sleeping Beauty,
the constant sobbing of the fountain jet
and the neck of the great white swan questioning me.
